Darren Clarke has won the J.P.McManus Pro Am in Ireland.
The 41 year Northern Irish golfer, who is sponsored by Stuburt shoes, went into the Tuesdays round two shots off a four way tie for the lead, but shot a second round 68, 4 under par on Tuesday to finish with a three below par total.
Clarke last won a European Event two years ago and this non-ranking charity golf event will still not count as an official Tour win, despite beating a array of top ranking golfers.
Luke Donald finished second, one shot behind Clarke after carding a 69 on Tuesday.
Third place was a tie between tow time Open winner Ernie Els and Shane Lowry.
Tiger played a better round on Tuesday after Monday’s disastrous round of 70, to finish 4 over for the Tournament.
Justin Rose, recent winner of the Memorial Tournament and AT&T National shot 71 in the final round to end the Tournament 7 over.
Most of the top golfers will now head off to Scotland to play in the Scottish Open this weekend or to use the time to practice for next week’s Open Championship at St.Andrews.
