Following the success of the R9 driver TaylorMade
introduce their R9 460 driver which utilises the proven Flight Control
Technology (FCT) of the R9 driver and combines it with an unprecedented power
and forgiveness. Having been fitted with a longer and lightweight graphite shaft
the R9 460 boasts a further enhancement to potential swing speed. The Flight
Control Technology allows the user to easily adjust the face angle, loft and lie
through a simple process enabling the shaft position to be rotated. This
innovation allows a golfer to customise the club not only to their preferred
specification but meet the requirements of the shot, promoting straighter and
longer drives.
It features a larger club face that that of its
predecessor driver the TaylorMade R9 driver and designed with a deeper clubface
and lower centre of gravity it delivers an increased MOI promoting un-paralleled
forgiveness with a higher spin rate. The club does not suffer aesthetically from
the technological enhancements, still boasting the TaylorMade classic look the manufacturer has earned a reputation
for.
The implementation of the Inverted Cone technology
has been a breakthrough for many TaylorMade golfers. This technology works to
expand the areas from which the player can produce high ball speeds, maximising
area on the face that can work to reshape and preserve distance on miss hit
strikes.
